Le 48ème Festival de Télévision de Monte-Carlo, qui s’est déroulé du 8 au 12 juin, a annoncé les vainqueurs de ses prestigieuses Nymphes d’Or. Des Nymphes d’Or ont été remises pour toute une variété de catégories différentes, comprenant les films de télévision, les mini-séries, les séries télévisées et les programmes d’actualité. Des prix spéciaux, dont le Prix Prince Rainier III et celui du Comité International de la Croix Rouge, ont également été présentés lors de la soirée de remise des trophées, qui s’est tenue au Grimaldi Forum.

Nombre de célébrités américaines et internationales ont sacrifié au rituel du tapis rouge. Parmi celles-ci on relèvera notamment les noms de Dana Delany (Desperate Housewives), Miranda Otto (Cashmere Mafia), Kim Kardashian (Keeping Up With The Kardashians), David Krumholtz (Numbers), Eric Johnson (Flash Gordon), Deidre Hall (Days of Our Lives), Lee Pace (Pushing Daisies), Becki Newton (Ugly Betty), Sheridan Smith (Love Soup), Philip Glenister (Ashes to Ashes), Laura Prepon (October Road), Lisa Edelstein (House), Tate Donovan (Damages) et Dick Wolf (Law and Order)

La cérémonie de remise des prix, à laquelle assistait SAS Prince Albert II de Monaco, le Président du Festival, a été suivie d’un dîner de gala donné dans la superbe Salle des Etoiles du Sporting Club de Monte-Carlo.

David Tomatis, Vice-Président délégué du Festival de Télévision de Monte-Carlo, a déclaré : “Cette 48ème édition de notre festival a été un immense succès. Tant la qualité que la quantité (plus de 700) des programmes présentés a signifié que les jurys ont eu énormément de mal à désigner les vainqueurs finaux. Une Nymphe d’Or compte désormais parmi les récompenses les plus convoitées dans l’univers de la télévision.”
